CBD Oil is quickly becoming the most popular supplement in the United States
How do you know what CBD products you can trust to get results? Here you find the answers to your questions such as…
It’s only been in recent years that we’ve heard about CBD oil and the benefits of using it regularly. But why all the excitement? Let’s start with the basics…
What is CBD?
CBD stands for cannabidiol. Cannabidiol, is one of the primary natural cannabinoids found in the industrial hemp plant.
What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that bind the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) receptors throughout your brain and body. There are over 113 known different cannabinoids found in hemp.
What are cannabinoid receptors?
Cannabinoid receptors are embedded in cell membranes throughout your body. Researchers have identified two cannabinoid receptors: CB-1, predominantly present in the nervous system, connective tissues, gonads, glands, and organs. CB-2, predominantly found in the immune system and its associated structures.
How does CBD Oil work?
CBD primarily interacts with your body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS). The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) regulates processes in the body such as:
- Nervous system
- and more
Endocannabinoids and their receptors are found throughout the body: in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands, and immune cells. In each tissue, the cannabinoid system performs different tasks, but the goal is always the same: homeostasis.
Homeostasis in a general sense refers to stability or balance in a system. It is the body’s attempt to maintain a constant internal environment. Maintaining a stable internal environment requires constant monitoring and adjustments as conditions change. Here’s an example, when we become stressed our mind releases Cortisol. Cortisol can be helpful when we need to react quickly to a dangerous situation–fight or flight.
Will CBD get me “high”?
No, CBD will not get you high. CBD is a cannabinoid that does NOT have euphoric side effects.
Are Hemp and Marijuana the same?
No, while both plants are in the same Cannabis plant family, hemp is completely different from marijuana in its function, cultivation, and application.
CBD vs THC
It’s important to note that while some people confuse CBD with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which is also found in the cannabis plant, the two are different. CBD is not psychoactive and does not cause the euphoric side effects commonly associated with THC. That means you can use CBD products without having to worry about THC causing any sort of reaction.
Full Spectrum vs Isolate
If you’ve been researching CBD oil for any time at all, you may have seen there is significant discussion about isolates vs full spectrum vs broad spectrum CBD oils. This could be confusing.

Full Spectrum CBD
Full spectrum CBD still has some trace THC in it. So while you won’t get the psychogenic effects of straight THC (marijuana), there is still the possibility of some effect from the THC. The best way to ensure that there is no THC present and to control purity is to use CBD isolate. However, a lot of people gravitate toward full spectrum CBD because it still contains terpenes and many more compounds, thus it delivers the powerful Entourage Effect.

Broad Spectrum CBD
Broad spectrum CBD is full spectrum CBD without any THC. There areb a couple of different processes that are used to make broad-spectrum CBD. One is by starting with a CBD isolate and then adding other beneficial cannabinoids (minus the THC), terpenes, and flavonoids. Another way to make broad-spectrum CBD is through a process that removes any THC from a full spectrum extract.
IsolateClick for more info
The other way to produce CBD is in its isolated form. CBD Isolate is pure CBD, and while it has no THC, no heavy metals or other compounds, it also has no terpenes in it and, therefore, loses the Entourage Effect.

Smart Spectrum CBD
There is something else that contains terpenes that can be added to the CBD to create a synergistic effect and thereby increase the positive effects of isolate CBD; essential oils! This is what Nature’s Ultra has done, creating a SMART Spectrum CBD product for you. This provides the best way to control purity and efficacy.
By adding essential oils to a CBD isolate you have created a SMART SPECTRUM*. Essential oils contain terpenes. We can add the terpenes back into the CBD isolate by adding essential oils to the CBD. The type of terpenes that essential oils contain will affect the fragrance and the benefits of the particular essential oil.
Different essential oils contain different terpenes and while each oil may have many different benefits, there are some that are known for specific uses. If you want a more calming effect, you would use Vetiver or Frankincense. If you want an uplifting effect, you might use Lemon or Peppermint. If you want a physically soothing effect, you may use Wintergreen or Ginger for tummy troubles.
In a nutshell, by adding the terpenes found in essential oils to a pure CBD isolate, you are increasing the overall efficacy of the product. That means that a SMART SPECTRUM product gives you a broader, more robust, purposeful terpene profile than CBD alone, meaning more benefits for you!
*SMART SPECTRUM is a term trademarked by Nature’s Ultra.
Nature’s Ultra is the first to combine and sell their CBD isolate infused with Young Living essential oils.
Getting the best results with CBD
If you want positive results with CBD, finding a pure and effective product is key! This might not be as easy as you think…
Now that CBD is legal in all 50 states, the number of companies selling it is growing exponentially. If you’re just starting your CBD journey it can be a little overwhelming with the number of options out there. The CBD market is currently flooded with synthetic, poorly cultivated, and untested CBD.
Finding a trustworthy source becomes a challenge. Many sellers have been shut down by the FDA for making false claims as to the contents of their CBD oils, such as some were found to contain less CBD than stated and some even contained toxins!!
5 Ways to Find the Best CBD
First Hand Experience
I recently injured my tailbone – always have a spotter when you’re on a ladder, folks – and I tried to manage the pain with painkillers for a few days. A steady diet of ibuprofen and even some prescribed pain medicine. It didn’t help, in fact, the pain only worsened. All the meds were messing with my sleep schedule as well. Then, a family member suggested I apply Natures’s Ultra CBD balm every two hours throughout the day for a few days. I was amazed. I didn’t need pills to help with the pain, and it completely subsided after only 3 days using the CBD balm. I’m a believer, and I now use Nature’s Ultra CBD nearly daily.
I have to admit I was a little skeptical when I first ordered my Nature’s Ultra CBD Oil, but I was also desperate. I was having trouble sleeping and had heard that CBD could help. The very first night I tried it I could tell a huge difference, I used it for about a month straight and also noticed that my back was feeling better. I have degenerative disc in my lower back and had been seeing a chiropractor regularly to keep it in check. I noticed less pain and also that I could go longer between chiropractic visits.
I was so impressed that I also ordered the Nature’s Utra CBD muscle balm which is also awesome! I use it on sore muscles, my lower back, or when I have a stubborn headache. Just last week I mixed Thieves and Lemon essential oils with Nature’s Utra CBD muscle balm and rubbed it on my throat, which was very sore – worked like a charm. Needless to say, I am no longer a skeptic, I am a CBD Believer.
I’ve always been an anxious person and deal with a lot of anxiety. Over the years I’ve become more natural-minded and with using essential oils it has gotten a lot better. I started using Nature’s Ultra CBD so I could give an honest opinion about it when people asked. I used it for a couple of weeks and was really joyful… not realizing what was helping me be more joyful and less full of worry. I forgot to use it for a couple of days and could feel the anxiety and worry come back. Then it dawned on me how anxious I still was and how much the Nature’s Ultra CBD oil helped me! Not only that but I could feel how my body had less inflammation! Needless to say, I love it!
