The search for a natural deodorant is never-ending. There are so many options to choose from, and each one claims to be the best. But how do you know which brands to trust?

Some products contain aluminum, parabens, or other harmful ingredients that can cause irritation and even cancer over time. That’s why it’s crucial to find a brand with high-quality ingredients and an affordable price point. In this post, we’ll go through our top three essential oils that work as natural deodorants!

This was news to me …

You don’t stink when you sweat!

Body odor is actually caused by skin flora or the microorganisms which reside on the skin. Many of these microorganisms are actually bacteria that are constantly present in our bodies. The warm, damp conditions of, say, your underarm are a perfect environment for bacteria to thrive, creating smelly odors.

Many deodorants can be among the most toxic skincare products on the market. And antiperspirants are even worse!

We were created to sweat – why mess with God’s handiwork?

Sweating may seem unpleasant to you, but it’s actually good for your skin. It helps get rid of bacteria and toxins. Not only that, sweating is imperative because it regulates the body temperature and prevents us from overheating.

So what to do?

Personally, I choose to use Young Living Essential Oils as a deodorant!

When considering using essential oil as deodorant, you’ll want to choose oils that are known to have properties that cleanse and eliminate impurities. That way, you are not just masking odors … you are actually getting rid of them!

Make sure you choose essential oils that not only remove unpleasant odors but also have an aroma you enjoy.

My number one choice is a blend from Young Living called Purification®. It is a blend of Citronella, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Lavandin, and Myrtle essential oils. It is gentle enough to be used directly on the skin.

As an alternative, I have also used lavender essential oil.

How Do I Use Them?

Although many people blend their essential oils with carrier oils like coconut oil or jojoba oil, I simply apply the essential oil to my underarms.

I apply 2-3 drops of essential oil to my left palm, rub it on the underside of my right arm, and then switch sides.

If you would prefer to use something to help absorb wetness, try this recipe.

Essential Oil Natural Deodorant

  • 10 drops of essential oil
  • 4 tablespoons of coconut or jojoba oil
  • 4 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 4 tablespoons of cornstarch

To make the deodorant, combine all of the ingredients and store in your fridge. Apply to clean skin when needed.

Top 3 Essential Oils To Use as Natural Deodorant

Purification essential oil blend and lavender have already been mentioned, but you may want to keep a third essential oil on hand to use as a deodorant.

Frankincense essential oil has a woodsy, warm, balsamic aroma. Applying this oil topically and inhaling its fragrance just makes me feel great overall. I use Frankincense as my deodorant every month for about a week. I try to limit how often I use it since it is more expensive.

Will you take charge of your health?

It’s no secret that a lot of personal care products are filled with toxins. I’m here to tell you how easy it is to eliminate these harmful substances in just one simple step: stop using them altogether.

Nobody Wants to Smell Bad

Deodorant is a necessity for most people, but it’s widely known that the chemicals in commercial deodorants can be harmful to your health.

The solution? Essential oils. They have been used for thousands of years as natural remedies and are proven to work better than store-bought deodorants when it comes to keeping you smelling fresh!

Now is the time to buy essential oils from Young Living!

Please let me know your experience … it would mean so much to me.
